Meet Dusty, an Eastern Grey kangaroo who was lucky enough to be taken into care at Eagles Nest. Although Dusty looks as though he is a roo in total control, he has been the unfortunate victim of our human desire to help. Dusty was obviously raised by a loving family with children and a dog, as Dusty shows no fear of either species. Unfortunately when Dusty got too large for comfort he was returned to the wild without being trained on how to survive alone.
Dusty was lucky; when he got hungry enough he found an open door before a dog found him and he took over a home in Millaa Millaa, eating his way through the kitchen and pooping all over the floors, until the family called Harry Kunz for help. When Harry arrived, Dusty was his usual friendly self. He stopped eating long enough to welcome Harry with a hug, before he returned to finish off his meal. Dusty is now in the process of being trained how to be a kangaroo, but even Harry admits that Dusty is a tough case. Whenever Dusty can, he makes his way back to where he thinks he belongs: as a couch potato waiting to be brought food by his human servitors.
