This bossy possum was raised from a baby at Eagles Nest and always returns home to show off her latest offspring. However, this time she has moved back in for good to take up residence in the kitchen and has two babies, one on her back and another in the pouch … we wonder if this means we should be preparing for another big Wet here in NQ this year.
Bossy Possie refuses to vacate her territory claim on the top shelf of Eagles Nest kitchen and constantly tries to persuade Karin Traub, Eagles Nest chief baby animal carer, that she is still in need of daily feeding.
Despite the Eagles Nest credo of teaching independent living skills so that their wildlife can successfully return to the wild, the wise money is on the possum. This little mother is just so determined and so sure of her rights.
Possie lets everyone know just who is the boss possum by arbitrarily pushing dishes off the shelf in a kitchen blitz, until she has renovated her home exactly to her liking.
Possie may be telling us that she does not like having to compete out the big world with two babies to feed, when much of her natural food sources have been destroyed by Cyclone Larry.
